CASTEP Licensing at NSC

The terms to use the NSC installations of CASTEP is that a user is covered by a valid license. It is typically a "group license" on the research group level. For more information see this link.

Please note that this only applies if you want use the installations of CASTEP provided by NSC. We highly recommend that you do try out our installations, but you are fully allowed to compile CASTEP from source yourself, and run it on NSC's clusters. In such cases, you do not need to tell us, but you are responsible for a making sure that you are covered by a valid CASTEP license.
