Cyberduck is a popular free file transfer client for macOS. It works with 2FA without any special settings, but we recommend that you change the following (and save those settings as a bookmark).

  • Connection type: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)

  • Username: your NSC username, e.g x_examp

  • Password: your NSC password for this cluster. Do not save the password, i.e untick the "Add to Keychain" checkbox.

  • When you connect, an additional popup will appear asking for "Verification code". Enter the six digits from your TOTP app.

  • In Preferences > Transfers: set "Transfer Files" to "Use browser connection". This will let you copy files without having to enter your password and TOTP code for each file.
