You should only do this if you have lost your codes (e.g if you uninstall the TOTP app and have no backup of its settings). If you have problems logging in, please use the troubleshooting page instead. Resetting TOTP will NOT fix all possible problems that might prevent you from logging in.
Please note: there is no way for you to reset TOTP/2FA for your account yourself without contacting NSC Support.

To reset TOTP/2FA for your account, do the following:

First: verify that you can still login to SUPR. You will need to login to SUPR in order to setup 2FA again on your new phone. If you cannot login to SUPR you need to solve that problem first. NSC cannot help you with that, use the support form in SUPR to get help with your SUPR login.

Once you can login to SUPR, contact NSC Support and ask for a TOTP reset. Please remember to tell us who you are, which cluster you need a TOTP reset for and why (e.g that your old phone is lost and that you cannot restore codes from backup).

In some cases we will need to verify your identity, e.g by calling a well known phone number or contacting a trusted colleague, e.g a project PI.

Once the reset is done, you will get an email with instructions on how to setup TOTP/2FA on your phone again.

Please note that once you have setup 2FA on a device, any codes on e.g an old phone will stop working.
