Intel MPI 4.1 update 3 build048
Level of support
NSC has only limited experience with this software, but we will try to help as much as possible. We have ran some tests, for example, if the program comes with a test suite, but they may be far from exhaustive. We will try to install and test new versions, as soon as we can.
Please see the page describing our software support categories
for more information.
You can also contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Update 3 build 048 was released in Janurary 2014. News in this version:
- Performance tuning for Xeon E5v2 and Xeon E7v2 processors (should not be relevant for Triolith).
- New documentation
- Bug fix: crash of multithreaded MPI_Bsend with attached buffer.
- Bug fix: crash of MPI_Alltoall algorithm #1 with certain vector datatypes.
- New environment variable I_MPI_JOB_RESPECT_PROCESS_PLACEMENT. It allows one to override the process per node count given by SLURM.
How to run
WARNING! We have only done limited testing of Intel MPI 4.1.3. Basically functionality is working, but there might be subtle issues with e.g. mpprun integration, core binding and rank placement.
To use this version of Intel MPI, load the module:
module load impi/4.1.3.048
Please see the Triolith User Guide
for information on how to build software on Triolith.
