• Intel (6.0, 7.0, 7.1 via modules)

  • Also a complete suite
  • Builds very fast executables, especially on newer Intel systems
  • Recommended for best performance on Monolith-class sytems

• GCC

  • Native compiler for linux
  • Often not as good at optimizations as PGI or Intel
