• Remind users to forward all e-mail to their home systems

• Give new users useful environment variables for default choices

• Try to give the users few and straightforward alternatives for compiling, linking, running jobs and monitoring jobs

• Internal distribution of configuration files to all compute nodes

• Maintain Systemimager/bootstrap configuration

• Keep an eye on differences between compute node configurations

• Try to catch bad compute nodes
