Level of support

Tier 2 NSC has only limited experience with this software, but we will try to help as much as possible. We have ran some tests, for example, if the program comes with a test suite, but they may be far from exhaustive. We will try to install and test new versions, as soon as we can.

Please see the page describing our software support categories for more information.
You can also contact support@nsc.liu.se for further information.

CDO (Climate Data Operators) is a collection of command line operators to manipulate and analyse climate and NWP model data. Supported formats are GRIB 1/2, netCDF 3/4, SERVICE, EXTRA and IEG. The CDO installations at NSC are generally supported by Hamish Struthers (struthers@nsc.liu.se). See the CDO webpages for detailed documentation.

How to run

Load the CDO module corresponding to the version you want to use, e.g

module load cdo/1.5.5

This will add the cdo command to your search path.

Please try not run CDO on the login node! To run CDO interactively, allocate a compute node for interactive use and then run cdo operations. E.g:

interactive -N1 --exclusive -t 00:30:00
module load cdo/1.5.5
cdo -R remapbil,t63grid ifile ofile
