Level of support

Tier 3 NSC will not be able to help you much with this program, either because we lack the in-house experience, or because it is a test installation. In general, these types of installations are untested, and will not be updated unless you send a request to NSC.

ARPACK is a collection of Fortran77 subroutines designed to solve large scale eigenvalue problems. ARPACK software is capable of solving large scale symmetric, nonsymmetric, and generalized eigenproblems from significant application areas. The software is designed to compute a few (k) eigenvalues with user specified features such as those of largest real part or largest magnitude. Naming scheme for library packages

How to run

Load the Arpack module corresponding to the version you want to use, e.g

module load arpack/i1214

Link the library during the compilation, as follows in your library flag:

-L${Arpack_LIB} -larpack_Linux -Wl,-rpath,${Arpack_LIB}

Remark

Arpack software ceased to make any further developments. Therefore, no more installation is to be performed unless users request the build with specific compiler. You can contact NSC Support if you wish the extra installation.
