Swegrid

Swegrid is a national Data GRID test bed of computing and storage facilities at six sites: NSC (Linköping), PDC (Stockholm), HPC2N (Umeå), UPPMAX (Uppsala), LUNARC (Lund), and UNICC (Göteborg). The resources are allocated by the Swedish National Allocation Committee (SNAC).

Technical Group

Strategic Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) have invited the Swegrid technical group to create a proposal for the implementation of Swegrid.

Funding

Professor Tord Ekelöf, Uppsala University, has received a grant of 22.56 MSEK from Knut och Alice Wallenberg Foundation for the hardware resources in Swegrid. The buildup and maintenance will be funded by The Swedish Research Council through SNIC.
