Purpose and Topics:

• Performance Analysis
• Tuning single processor application performance
• Data decomposition
• Tuning OpenMP applications, and why NUMA memory systems are not transparant.
• MPI (and extensions using shmem pointers...)

Prerequisites:
A basic knowledge of Unix systems is required. Knowledge of the SGI Altix system is helpful.
