5th Annual Workshop on Linux Cluster for Super Computing (LCSC 2004)Clusters for High Performance Computing, Data-Intensive Challenges, and Grid SolutionsThe combination of commodity hardware and open source operating systems have become mainstream and cost-effective computing platforms for executing a wide range of parallel applications. Clusters and Grid Systems are becoming ubiquitous high performance computing infrastructure for the coordinated use of shared resources in a distributed environment. Along with these opportunities come new challenges; increased needs in transparency, scalability and usability in areas such as storage network and visualisation will require new solutions. The aim of the workshop is to gather together both people with experience of building and maintaining clusters and people using or interested in using cluster resources. It serves as a meeting place for people from academia, government and industry. The workshop will address the hardware and software issues encountered during design as well deployed application's efficiency, portability and utilization. We intend to cover the following topics:
In addition to invited talks, there will be tutorials exhibits and vendor presentations. The complete list of speakers and programme will be available at http://www.nsc.liu.se/lcsc/. If you wish to present your own cluster, Grid project, software development or give a talk on a topic related to clusters or Grid computing you are most welcome to contact Niclas AnderssonIf you want to present your products in our exhibit outside the auditorium, please contact Torgny Faxén |
