The National Supercomputer Centre (NSC) at Linköping University, develops and maintains large scale parallel computer systems for academic users in Sweden and our cooperation partners Saab AB and SMHI. At NSC you work in the front line with world leading computer and storage systems. NSC computer resources are used by research groups from all over Sweden within different research areas such as physics, chemistry, biology, fluid dynamics and meteorology/climate modeling. We need to enforce with one or several persons with competence within system administration.

System expert(s) - Distributed systems at National Supercomputer Centre

You will work with hardware- and software systems in a distributed Linux environment and including GRID-technology. User support is an important part of the work. On-call duty off regular working hours can be included.

Qualifications: Master in computer science or equivalent competence. Experience within several of the areas mentioned below is qualifying:

• Distributed systems and Linux
• Systems administration of large scale computing resources
• Batch systems, schedulers such as Torque, Maui, Moab, PBS, SGE
• Program languages: C, C++, as well as script languages
• Computer security
• Disk and tape storage
• Software for long term storage and backup

General requirements for positions: Good knowledge in both Swedish and English and good ability to cooperate and communicate with colleagues and users are required. Starting date: By agreement.
